This is a picture of David Archuleta telling his crazy ass dad to peace the fuck out. Why, you ask? Because Idol producers, contestants, band members, vocal coaches and janitors are tired of his insane stage dad act. It’s a problem that has been brewing for weeks (awhile back, during judging, Simon even hinted that David’s dad was the one making the song choices).

What finally sealed the deal for Jeff  was when David threw some words from Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girls into his Stand By Me performance last week. Producers had warned the Archuleta guys not to do it, but Jeff got David to sing that monstrosity anyway. As a result, Idol had to pay out the ass for licensing fee and whatnot. Now, Jeff can’t go near rehearsals and is only allowed to attend the live show with everyone else.  Apparently, this has been a problem before (back when David was on Star Search).

But really, does it matter? His “aw, shucks!” personality is totally going to have the tween set speed dialing until their fingers bleed right up until the end. He’s going to beat David Cook in the finals, which is A-Okay by me because I’m over him anyway. Remember at the beginning, when he’d sit and do crosswords in a corner? Now, he’s all full of himself and is turning down dates from girls when Ryan takes live calls.
